Answering to both Tom and Herb, Margaret's third oldest brother joins the Gals on the patio to chat about the good 'ol days and his lifetime of working in Philadelphia from days as a janitor to retiring as lead accountant at the Dept. of Revenue. 

Or as originally titled,  "Dad and the Soviets." This week the gals are with Jim as he recalls some of his compelling memories while on a two and half month trek through the Soviet Union and on to Europe. Focusing mostly on his time riding the Siberian Railroad, Jim evokes the absurdity of a carefree young American meeting the Soviet bureaucracy. 

Hot button issue week as the gals discuss the issues of gender and self-identity and the cultural swirl enveloping young people. Included are some candid conversations on how organized religion collides topically with some of these ideas. Whew. Kind of a mature audience topic! 

This week the gals spend time with Johanna, compadre from the lively PageGrinder's writing group both she and Margaret participated in while residing in central PennSylvania.   Now living in Ashland OR, Johanna offers sage wisdom and fun commentary on everything from meditation to East Coast - West Coast comparisons, to writing, art and more. 

Margaret's big brother Rich is here to talk about his journey and some formative memories along the way. Included are smells from Nabisco, time in the shop, working in HVAC and so much more.

Personalities and chemistry bubble up as the Gals discuss a favored pastime leading to topics of women in sports, Title IX,  motivation, inspiration, and much more. 

This week's guest shares his passion for making and creating functioning goods out of metal and wood. Welcome Ethan as he also talks about his discovery and nurturing of his craft, the differences between the two media and the memories that brought him to this point. 

Margaret and Bridget catch up with each other this weekend as they take advantage of pandemic lifting restrictions to enjoy sightseeing and "going out" activities. The conversation leads to discourses on two great cities a country apart.
